Legacy Labs 2025 Recap
Our first-ever Legacy Labs wrapped up this month. The labs are a four-week clinic series built for athletes who want sharper skills, smarter reps, and more personal coaching. Players split into offense and defense clinics, allowing each position to train in a more personalized and smaller group setting.

Legacy Labs are specialized
In these labs, you get to really focus on developing position-specific skills. Offense clinics focused on dodging, cutting, feeding, and shooting mechanics. Defense focused on footwork, angles, approaches, and defensive stick skills. Goalies trained reaction time, goalie stance, clearing, and ball tracking.
The drills and flow of the labs are created to generate a lot of reps for everyone. With a small group setting we emphasized and broke down skills to help players separate themselves from an average player. How to absorb contact, disguise dodgers intentions, angle your hips on defense, and communicate in a way on defense that prevents goals.
Take-Home Lessons for Every Player
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
When you slow down the details of footwork, stick placement, and body angle you build good habits. Once you get the mechanics sharp, speed will come.
Defense is angles over aggression.
Your body positioning and approaches on the ball will be a deciding factor to your success on defense.
Treat every rep like it matters.
We saw in four weeks that the players who treated every rep like it mattered improved twice as fast. Habits built in November show up in your games in March.
If you attended — keep building.
If you missed it — we’d love to have you next time.
Lacrosse news in the area
Southern Indiana Select Lacrosse (SISL) will be hosting their winter box league on Sundays from Jan 4th through Feb 22nd. Sign ups can be found at their website: evilleteams.com. This is another great opportunity to get reps before your spring season.
SISL also hosted a great day of competition with the Fall Lacrosse Jamboree held at Evansville North High School. Memorial, North, Castle, and Reitz all participated in the jamboree for a fun day of 7v7 format lacrosse. We are thankful for SISL being active in Southern Indiana and providing opportunities like this to continue growing the game. Thank you for all that you do!
