We’re starting with what we know best — high-quality instruction, competitive opportunities, and mentorship for boys’ lacrosse athletes — but our long-term vision is far bigger. Legacy Lacrosse is already laying the groundwork to expand into nearby regions, support the girls' and women's game, and grow a full-scope program that supports the entire lacrosse community in Southern Indiana and beyond.

Why Evansville?

Evansville has always held a special place in our story. Many of us got our start on local fields with little more than borrowed gear, grassroots passion, and a vision of what the game could be. That’s the energy we’re bringing back. By starting where lacrosse first sparked for many of us, we aim to reignite that same flame for a new generation of athletes.

Building Smarter: Sixes Lacrosse and Strategic Growth

Legacy Lacrosse is embracing the Sixes format — a fast-paced, small-sided version of the game recognized by World Lacrosse and increasingly used at the developmental and international levels. For emerging lacrosse communities like ours, Sixes provides a perfect launchpad: less equipment, smaller rosters, and more touches for every player. It accelerates skill development while keeping the game fun, accessible, and easy to manage at the grassroots level.

You’ll see Sixes integrated into our clinics, pickup games, and future events — especially during the early phases of growth.

We Can’t Do It Alone — And We Don’t Want To

Legacy Lacrosse was built to be more than a brand. It’s a movement for community-driven development. Whether you’re a former player, parent, coach, or simply someone who believes in providing new opportunities for local youth, there’s a place for you in our journey.
